The Monginis brand has had to face stiff competition from newer brands like Birdy’s, Ribbons & Balloons and Brownie Point. Much of it has to do with the store’s complete neglect of continual brand building and brand polishing. It almost seems as if the brand has become too generic and stagnated.

It’s very hard to connect with a brand that does little or nothing to establish a connect or some sort of uniform branding message. When i was little i loved coming to a Monginis cake shop but now i prefer going elsewhere. The store layout sucks too!
